Employees of UPMC Chautauqua in Jamestown, NY are eligible to apply for scholarships from WCA Foundation as they advance their education in ways to increase their ability to do their job at the hospital.  Each employee must complete a universal application, write an essay in which they discuss how this education will enhance their career at the hospital and disclose the importance of the scholarship as it relates to the individual’s financial need.  Two letters of reference must also be submitted with documentation of enrollment in the school or university of their choice.  Proof of payment of tuition and/or related expenses to their course work is required after the scholarship is received.

I understand that if I am a scholarship recipient, I will need to discuss my intention to work at UPMC Chautauqua following the receipt of the scholarship-presuming UPMC continues to need their services.

Deadline for submission is the First of Every Month.

The Board of Directors of WCA Foundation are pleased to offer scholarships from the Rosemary Billquist Memorial Scholarship Fund, the Dr. Harold M. and Joyce S. Childress Fund, the Karen Crossley Scholarship Fund, the Murray S. Marsh Fund, the Mary Lou Messina Nursing Scholarship Fund,  and the Vivian Wettingfeld Nursing Education Fund to UPMC Chautauqua’s employees and its schools of Radiology and Laboratory Sciences.
